Wendy Carlos could be called the mother of electronic music. Her first album Switched-On Back (1968) was dedicated to the music of Johann Sebastian Bach and one her three Grammy Awards. Wendy used a Moog synthesizer and a vocoder she developed with Robert Moog to generate human voices and sopranos.
She developed the music for Stanley Kubrick's "A Clockwork Orange" and "The Shining" as well as the original TRON movie.
