Here's: Day 112: 5 Minute Freewrite: Thursday

The reflection of the flashlight bounces off the dark black night, making it hard for my eyes to adjust. He stands next to me, tall and unaffected by the black pulling us in. The darkness is everywhere, pulling us in it's arms, smothering us. A chill runs through my body, from my head to my feet. I can't shake the feeling that someone is following us.
"Stop looking behind us, there's nothing there." He speaks softly next to me, his voice almost a whisper. Why must we feel the need to whisper in the dark as if speaking at a regular volume will awake the darkness.
"I can't help it... It's just this feeling." I say taking a peak behind me. I pull myself closer to him. He moves the flashlight to his other hand so he can hold me closer.
"You know there's nothing there." He says reassuringly and kisses the top of my head.
Warmth spreads through my body, an effect he has on me and has had on me since the day we first met. My eye's meet his and I'm instantly reassured. I sigh, "Alright." I say as we continue our night walk.
It's a beautiful night. The warm breeze blows my hair back, brushing my face as if it's softly kissing my cheeks. The night is clear, the black canvas speckled with brightness.
"Your simply delectable, you know that?" His voice is melodic as he bends his lips to my neck. I feel a sharp pain, a prick as if he's biting me and before I know it, my world is black. Little did I know the demon lurking in the shadows was next to me the whole time.
