Hello everybody and welcome to another Round 2 update on Round 2 of the competition. Last night we saw France overcome Belgium and then Portugal going through on penalties against Slovenia which gave the people who selected Portugal a whooping 5 points. The strategy of picking all the away teams seems to be falling solidly on its arse for all those clever bastards out there. The only upset so far was really the Swiss beating the Italys and some could say that this was not really an upset at all. Maybe even a bookies error for thinking the Italians were better than what they were. Anyway with two more matches to go we are swiftly moving onto the quarter finals of the competition which will begin on Friday with Spain versus Germany. However there are two matches to go in this round.
Netherlands vs Romania
Austria versus Turkey
Most of you have given me your predictions. Thank you. Only 4 people have gone for Romania tonight. The Dutch are not that good lads but we will see. A home win is the most likely. Austria and Turkey will be the game of the tournament I expect as these two teams are performing well in the tournament.

The Quarters Finals
I better get this out now so people can start thinking about Friday as their decision will be important this time around. It will not be just a win here guys. You have to select the correct result but you also have to decide whether your prediction will be in the 90 minutes or will the match go to extra time or penalties. More points are achieved if you do so it will be a great way to get up the rankings.
5th July Spain versus Germany (Spain have slightly lower odds than Germany meaning they are the home team)
5th July France versus Portugal (French clear favourites so home team for them)
6th July England versus Switzerland (England are favourites for this match)
6th July Netherlands versus Turkey.
So I want each of you to give me your prediction AND whether it will happen in normal time , AET or penalties.
So for example if you select Spain to win in 90 minutes and it goes to extra time then you get 0 points.
If you select Germany to win on penalties and it goes to penalties and Germany get the win then you will be awarded 6 points.
Anyone that just replies " Spain win" will automatically be given the "Win in 90 minutes" category so if it goes over normal time then it will be 0 points if Spain win. Got it? Any questions? I will be sending another post tomorrow with the Round 2 results.
