Usually we are used to seeing butterflies on a warm and sunny day, they fly around in some of their world. But there are days when it is almost impossible to see any of them, usually this are periods during and after the rain. Today was one of those!
It rained during the morning, along with the rain came a derastic chill that persisted throughout the day, and to make matters worse, the cold wind blew.
Cloudy and gloomy days are not my favorite, try to guess why ?! Well there are no butterflies anywhere in sight! For a long time I have been studying butterflies as well as their behavior, the acquired knowledge has allowed me to know where to look for them even in such a horrible weather.
If you are wondering where butterflies hide in rainy and cold weather, the answer is very simple; they hide in dense grass and trees. They are mostly found on the underside of the leaves and thus protected from rain.
No matter what the weather, I go on a day-to-day photo hunt. This time I had to literally look closely at the stems of the plants where the butterflies were hiding. Of course, my effort was fruitful, I found a few butterflies. Although the weather was not ideal for the photography I still made some photos. Hope you like it!
