After a long time I have had the opportunity to observe how the turkey cock struts. He walked around with widespread wings that almost dragged on the ground, his tail was widespread reminding me of the fan.
Almost continuously he made characteristic sounds and in that way he tried to draw all attention to him. He was surrounded with a small number of turkeys, and it quickly became clear why he performed his performance.
The performance could be called a ritual of mating.
