While I was walking along the canal today, I noticed swans in the distance, I was not lazy and went to them. They were located in a place that in the summer season serves as a place to swim, a place where clean you can get out of the water. In the photo you can see part of the jumping board as well as the staircase for entering the water.
At first the swans behaved very restrained and kept at a distance, I sat on one of the stairs and watched them calmly. After a few moments, they came very close to the coast. My camera was ready for shoting and I was waiting for the moment when some of them would start performing their usual ritual, that swans sometimes like to show off.
I knew that at some point the male would rise high and start waving his wings wide opened. Really fascinating scene for me at least, I'm just sorry that scene didn't happen somewhere in the middle of the channel, because swan would be completely surrounded by water and thus the photo would be much more imposing, but in any case I am pleased with this opportunity that I got. I hope that in the near future I will be able to photograph them in some better positions and from better angles!
