As you may have noticed, I'm crazy about butterflies, I love those little amazing creatures! Every day I go to nearby meadows where I know I can find them in large numbers.
I photograph them all, all kinds that I can come across, but I particularly like the red butterflies! I don't know what the reason for this fascination is, maybe because red is my favorite color.
Today I tried to photograph only red butterflies or butterflies that have at least a little red. Unfortunately, in the area where I live there are not many such butterflies, maybe only 5-10 species.
Lycaena phlaeas, Lycaena dispar, Lycaena thersamon etc. are my favorite butterflies, although very small by nature, they are easily visible in the green of the meadow, their red color under the sun's rays get a brilliant color of gold.
The aforementioned butterflies in the country where I live are called ducats (ducat is the old name for gold coins). Maybe what I'm about to say will sounds silly to you, but sometimes I feel like I'm really looking for hidden ducats scattered all over the meadow, and when I find them I feel like I've found 1 million $! :)
