Every day is a new opportunity to learn something new, I know this statement sounds like an empty phrase that is too often used, but when you think about it a little, you come to the conclusion that it is so true!
Very often I'm amazed at how little I know about the world I live in, the things that immediately surround me. I believe many of you have said aloud many times: how have I not seen this before or how do I know nothing about this?
Nowadays, when people no longer care about anything but themselves, it is very difficult to find a person even in the countryside who knows to list at least five species of plants or five species of birds. We cannot blame people for not knowing anything about certain things because no one was born with the knowledge, but they are guilty of one other thing, which is that they did not even bother to learn anything during their lives.
During my photo hunt today, I came across a single plant, a wild flower that immediately caught my attention. At first I was mesmerized by the beauty of the flower, which was located almost in the middle of the dirt road. I watched it and admired it, but I didn't know anything about it, one of my first thoughts was: how did I not notice him so far? As I said earlier, a typical human reaction!
I immediately took my camera and made it some photos. I later learned that this plant ie. the wild flower is: "Flower of an hour," (Lat. Hibiscus trionum). Just moments later I noticed another fascinating thing about this wild flower, the appearance of its buds delighted me, I can freely say that the closed bud is just as beautiful as the open flower itself!
I discovered the flower in the morning, and then made the mistake of not making more photos, I thought I'd come again later in the afternoon. And I did come back later, but to my surprise I found the flower again with great difficulty, I did not expect the flower to be one of those that does not tolerate the very strong sun and close at noon and it was difficult for me to spot it.
When I finally found it, I was a little disappointed because the flower was closed and my intention to take more photos failed, but despite that I made a few photos. I'm glad this day brought me some new insights and encouraged me to think about things that exist out there and I'm not even aware that they exist and are waiting for me to discover them!
