DecentralandVR
Decentraland VR is closer than you may think... In the video below you can see some VR footage being showcased at the Paris NFT Day event and a BabyDolls House Party event.
On December 15th 2021 a Grant proposal was submitted in the Decentraland Governance DAO for $240,000 to start immediate work on a DecentralandVR/AR Client. This proposal was approved and has been in the works for a few months now. You can check the proposal here.
I've been buying mana for a while now and am pretty happy with the gains but this definitely makes me a lot more bullish on mana and will be buying up some more!
DecentralandVR is in Alpha Testing and there are a number of community members that have already jumped in at the opportunity to start testing immediately. This is a DecentralandVR Client that is launched via Oculus App or SteamVR on Windows and is compatible with any headset that is compatible with SteamVR.
Currently there is only functionality to log in, move around and jump around. There are no VR hands yet, but per todays DCL DAO TownHall Meeting, hands are looking to be implemented in about a month.
Definitely more to come, I really look forward to playing Ice Poker in VR or Black Jack at the Aquarium.
