The Power of Focus
EVERY MARKETER WILL FACE THE FRUSTRATION OF FAILING
I am writing this article to address a reoccurring pattern that I see widespread
on 'HackForums 'and other 'money-making 'boards. 'People 'join 'forums, start
reading methods, get 'super-excited and then get hit by the harsh reality. The
methods they read are not as easy to perform as they first thought
They 'meet 'obstacles 'at 'every 'step. 'Sites change their policies, 'markets get
saturated, 'niches 'get old and 'out of 'trend and so on. 'If you relate 'with that,
then 'you 'have 'to 'understand 'that 'this 'is 'normal. 'A 'free 'economy 'is 'ever
changing. So, every aspiring marketer will face the frustration of failing.
A VERY PROFITABLE YET RESOURCE DEMANDING OCCUPATION
But as the saying goes, '''"being an entrepreneur is about living for a few years
like 'others don't want to live 'so that 'you can 'live' for the rest of 'your life like
other 'can't 'afford 'to 'live". ''The 'Internet 'has 'changed 'the world. 'It allowed
people from 'all over 'the world ''to communicate, through social media, forums
and other mediums, and caused a vast flow of information around the globe. '''''
Local marketplaces got connected 'into an 'international, 'highly active network
of 'marketplaces. 'For that reason, 'internet 'marketing is a 'very 'profitable yet
resource ''demanding 'occupation. ''Internet ''marketers 'can 'reach 'way 'more
consumers than offline marketers, 'but at 'the same time, 'they have way more'
competitors.
STAY INFORMED AND UP TO DATE WITHOUT GETTING LOST
To keep up with competition, 'aspiring 'marketers need to stay informed and up
to date without getting lost in the vastness of information. Psychologists have a
term 'called '"Analysis Paralysis". 'Analysis 'paralysis or 'paralysis 'by 'analysis is
the state of 'over-analyzing '(or over-thinking) 'a situation 'so 'that a decision or
action is never taken, in effect paralyzing the outcome.
This phenomenon is especially present in the world of internet marketing. Why?
Because 'in 'the 'world 'of 'internet 'marketing, ''the 'amount 'of information 'is
overwhelming. For that reason, 'internet marketers should focus their mind and
efforts on a single goal. 'Instead of researching and studying every new method
they can find, they should focus on one single method.
FOCUS ON ONE METHOD
There 'will 'be 'marketing 'gurus 'advising 'them 'to drop whatever 'they do and
focus on 'the 'new 'method 'they 'are 'presenting them. 'If an aspiring marketer
switches 'methods 'every 'time a 'marketing 'guru 'advises 'him to, he will be an
amateur in everything.
What 'internet 'marketers 'should 'do, 'is 'focus on one 'method. 'Every 'popular
method 'such 'as 'CPA' marketing, ''affiliate 'marketing, ''and ''trading ''has 'the
potential to make someone rich. But not if he is an amateur in it. So, my advice
to 'all' the new 'internet 'marketers 'is this: "Choose a method and stick to it till
you become a professional".
