Já vím, že to není na první pohled nic moc. Takový uschlý, ohlodaný strom na břehu Berounky. Jenže má dobrých 30cm průměr a když si uvědomíte, jak velké stromy kácí bobři, tak je to udivující. Samozřejmě tak velkou řeku nepřehradí, ale to asi ani nechtějí. Ty velké padlé stromy leží z břehu do řeky a za nimi si bobr může natahat ohromnou hromadu klacků a v té bydlet. Častěji asi hrabou nory, ale takový bobří hrad u břehu Vltavy je přímo v Praze u ZOO.
I know it's not much at first glance. Such a withered, gnawed tree on the banks of the Berounka. But it has a good 30cm diameter and when you realize how big trees beavers cut down, it's amazing. Of course, they won't cover such a large river, but they probably don't want that either. The big fallen trees lie from the shore into the river, and behind them the beaver can stretch a huge pile of sticks and live in it. More often they probably dig burrows, but such a beaver castle on the banks of the Vltava is right in Prague near the ZOO.
