I deliberately placed the trail camera low to the ground and aimed it along the path by the creek to capture smaller animals.
I know that otters, raccoons, and martens pass through here, but getting a nice, longer shot of them is difficult.
When I place the camera higher, it's mostly roe deer and wild boars that "perform."
Additionally, since spring, I've been trying to film a mink—they are definitely around here.
This time I was lucky. That first shot, I believe, is a mink. Of course, from this footage alone, I can't tell whether it's an American mink or the native European mink. However, European minks have practically gone extinct, and on iNaturalist there are only around 10 observations in Europe.
The order of the shots is: mink, song thrush, otter, and great tit.
