Late (last ?) frost report

Nature always sways between harmony and chaos, and we that live close to, and work with it are mere witnesses of the endless cycle of creation and destruction.

above, one of the Pecans that was damaged in the last frost. luckily, having been a light one.

the month of April, very rainy and after having very rainy February and March, has been mentally challenging:

smaller plants that were left to fend for themselves were less fortunate and many Tomatoes, Peppers, Zucchini, Eggplants burned completely.
lesson learned..? I seem to have to learn this lesson every year. there is no real point to plant out any of the above before the end of April.

a plant of Physalis, slightly damaged. being strong plants, it will soon recover.

new leaves at the base of this Black Poplar were slightly damaged.
frost kinda crawls close to ground level so the closer to the ground the worse damage is.

and lastly, a fig which is no big fan of cold weather, thriving in extremely hot and dry conditions.
