Been doing home gardening for quite a while now. It made us busy every day. Hubby planted the squash about a month ago I guess. We've seen some flowers yet not all pumpkin flowers turn into fruit because mostly the flowers are removed. Even if we can see some fruit of it but then the flowers on the top of it are removed and for sure it won't grow bigger anymore. So for now we are still hoping that we can successfully produce fruit.
I personally love squash and my kids do too so having it in our garden would help us to save.
We also have four bottle gourds planted in a pot in our front yard.
A few days ago we have finally seen some flowers blooming and yesterday we have seen some fruit of it. We felt so happy that sooner we can have our own bottle of gourd without buying from the market.
How lovely the flower of the bottle gourd is
I found a cute insect eating the leaves of the bottle gourd.
I can see hope now. The hope of having our own bottle gourd. Hopefully, the worms and insects won't eat them. Please let them grow.
Here is the outlook of the garden of my husband. The part where the bottle gourd is planted. We can also see the spring onions that we had. We have lots of spring onions before but when hubby started planting other vegetables and spices he had to harvest and sell some of them so he can use the pots for other plants. I even gave him two of my flower pot so he can use them for his vegetable garden.
We have lots of pechay seedlings before, and now hubby gives most of the seedlings to our neighbors because we don't have enough pots to plant them.
Since it is the rainy season here in the Philippines so we expect worms and insects in our garden. Hopefully, they will not eat all the leaves of our pechay.
That's our pechay in a pot. We suppose to have more in one pot yet the worms started eating some of them.
