What was supposed to be a doozy of a winter snow storm turned out to be just a typical snowfall. Only noticeable difference was the weight of the snow.

Indigo had a blast out in the snow that's for sure. Her home home doesn't have as much open land to run around like the wild animal she wants to be, so when she visits us or stays with us for any amount of time, she is always raring to get outside.

Before this week, I wasn't very confident on letting her out without her being on a leash because in the past she has taken off thru the thicket, not to be seen for hours, until she mozies her way back to the property.. well that kills trust. Since she is such a big dog, a threatening "looking" dog, I fear someone might go ahead and just shoot her when she gets loose like that. But needless to say, she listened to me very well.

A couple moments I worried she might try to make a bolt for the gate, but I guess my deeper than the usual voice she is used to hearing is effective at getting her attention and keeping it.

Or she respects me.. must be the beard.
