A few more photos of those first, not so shy little flowers proudly pushing their way through the already greening grass, with the occasional dry leaf still hanging on, left over from last autumn. Just imagine that kind of stubbornness. So dry and fragile, yet determined to be there, first through all the rain that fell, then under all that snow that covered them more than once, and still they persist. In fact, there are more traces and signs that autumn once ruled for a while, while winter seems to have left almost no mark at all.
And now, spring is taking over, yes, it officially began yesterday! 🌼
Anyway, how have you all been feeling these days? Are you waking up and blooming along with nature, or maybe, on the other hand, is that springtime blues starting to creep in?
Back when I used to be twice as anxious as I am now, I did love spring, but since it also meant summer was around the corner, those irrational fears would start piling up. As long as the gloomy, rainy autumn lasted, and the cold, sharp winter stuck around, my mind felt great, like woohoo, everything's fine. But the moment spring arrived, and let's be honest, it barely lasts before turning into unbearable heat, the anxiety would hit me so hard that I'd find myself counting down the days until autumn again.
And this little analysis of mine, how much of it is really brought on by the start of spring, and would I be thinking the same way in the middle of autumn if my thoughts just happened to line up like this?
Okay, okay, I exaggerated a bit, today wasn't actually thaaaat warm, the photos are from a few days ago. 🥰 But that's not the point. Lately I've been a bit more in the mood to get things done, and I really like seeing that in myself, which, I'll admit, doesn't happen that often, haha. But hey, someone has to be a little lazy, we can't all be busy little bees.
In my case, honey never lasts long, I can finish a whole jar by myself in like two ot three weeks. And that's just from using it to sweeten drinks like coffee, cocoa, espresso, lemonade... sometimes tea. I rarely make any kind of healthy spread with it for pancakes and that's about it. Just imagine what it would be like if I used it more often in food and desserts, one jar would probably last me two or three days.
I know I overdo it, I wish I were more moderate, but since I've really gone off industrial sweets and they don't appeal to me anymore, and even some homemade ones too, these honey sweetened drinks I'm hooked on don't seem that bad.
I don't know, there I go again, rambling about things that have nothing to do with the photos or this community, but what can I do, that's just how inspiration hits me when I scroll through my gallery and see everything I've been capturing over the past few days. 😀
