Hello there Tasteemers, for this week's Weekly Choice Contest, let me introduce to you Embayan Cafe which is located at Plaza Kivatu, Penampang. There is nothing extraordinary about this cafe, and I only came here once just to see what this shop serves its customers.

Tables and seats arrangement just out side of the sho plot. The weather was really hot that day, so I choose to sit inside right under the ceiling fan where it is cooler.

This cafe has just recently started their business, roughly 6 months ago, and I was only able to visit it last week. As I mentioned earlier, there is nothing special about this cafe as they don't have any signature dish whatsoever.

As you can see from the picture below, these are the menus that are available. It is being displayed on the wall so that customers can easily has a glimpse of it.

Menus are being displayed in plain sight for the customers to notice.

After a while, I chose to have their Chicken Fried Rice, and a plate Roasted Chicken.

The Fried Rice is quite good and well seasoned, just right to my taste.

I love the roasted chicken too, not too dry, the skin is crispy and the meat is tender, just the way I like it.

Overall, the cafe has a good ambience and clean, but some of the staff is just not friendly or attentive enough. When I came, I saw a few of them just sitting and loitering around while looking at me. Only 1 waitress came to my table after a few minutes to ask for my order. The others just kept on doing their own business just the way did since the time I walked in. Such attitude is bad for the cafe's image and business. I am not sure whether the owner was around back then.
