Stuttgart Food Guide - #10 Steiner am Fluss, Plochingen
On thursday last week we took a day off from our online job to do a little bike tour along the Neckar. After around 40km bike ride we ended up in the beautiful town of Plochingen where we went to a nice big beergarden called Steiner am Fluss
Am Donnerstag vergangener Woche haben wir uns einen Tag frei genommen, um eine kleine Radtour entlang des Neckars zu machen. Nach rund 40 km Radtour landeten wir in der schönen Stadt Plochingen, wo wir zu einem großen Biergarten mit dem Namen Steiner am Fluss gingen.
The weather was perfect for a outdoor lunch break. The beergarden is outside of the city, so no noise and bad air, but green and lushes grass instead.
That place is perfect for a wedding or other bigger Parties.
You don´t have to worry about finding a seat as there is plenty of tables outside as well as inside.
Das Wetter war perfekt für eine Mittagspause im Freien. Der Biergarten liegt außerhalb der Stadt, daher kein Lärm und keine schlechte Luft, sondern grüne und üppige Wiesen.
Dieser Ort ist perfekt für eine Hochzeit oder andere größere Partys.
Man brauch sich keine Sorgen um einen Platz zu machen, da es sowohl draußen als auch drinnen genug Tische gibt.
The menu wasn´t huge but had something for everyone on it. They also have daily changing menus additionally to the normal one.
We were quite hungry and thirsty from the bike ride and ordered the following.
- 1 grilled sausage with potato salad
- 1 Tarte like Pizza called Flammkuchen with leek and cheese on it
- 1 wheat beer
- 1 rhubarb juice
Die Speisekarte war nicht riesig, aber für jeden etwas dabei. Sie haben auch täglich wechselnde Menüs zusätzlich zum normalen.
Wir waren ziemlich hungrig und durstig von der Radtour und bestellten folgendes.
- 1 Bratwurst mit Kartoffelsalat
- 1 Flammkuchen mit Lauch und Käse
- 1 Weizenbier
- 1 Rhabarbersaft
The food was good, but it was nothing really special. Especially the potato salad could have had much more flavor. But I have to admit that it is hard to make a perfect swabian potato salad. 😁
Das Essen war gut, aber es war nichts Besonderes. Besonders der Kartoffelsalat hätte viel mehr Geschmack haben können. Aber ich muss zugeben, dass es schwierig ist, einen perfekten schwäbischen Kartoffelsalat zuzubereiten. 😁
