This is the fourth and last Post about StreetArt from Cape Town. In my last post I made a mistake as it was already the third part and not the second. It´s amazing to realize afterwards how many good pieces of StreetArt I´ve actually discovered in South Africa. I still have the feeling that I´ve missed out on some really good ones (a few I of them I literally saw on the way to the Airport) but I´m still happy with what I´ve found.
Down below are the some of the bigger ones from the suburb of Salt River again as it is the melting pot of streetart together with Woodstock. This street below is a street that really fits my taste.
And again like you could see on many of my posts before, there are some that were created during the BAZ Art weeks.
Apart from these rather large paintings that would have been worth to post to the CCC's Street Art Contest I always find these smaller paintings, graffitis and tags along my strolls through the suburbs and I do love them as much as the big ones.
These small quick paintings can be seen everywhere in Cape Town and they help to make the streets a little more colourful
In Salt River almost every house has at least a small colourful painting on it. While this looks all so friendly and inviting, Salt River also is a suburb in which I would not walk alone after dark. Better to explore everything during the day and even then always be cautiously.
We went there on a weekend in the morning which is probably the best time as the streets are still empty and you can take photos without being disturbed.
Ok enough, I really need to keep some of the good ones to participate in the Contest. As I will be going to Strasbourg in August I hope I will find some new stuff soon.
