Hello there, internet folks! How are you doing? For this month's #youhive prompt, we’re talking about channels we find truly relaxing. I’d like to share some of the videos I turn to when I’m feeling stressed—or simply while I’m writing my Hive posts. This is one of those videos; it features beautiful music that evokes the best moments of *The Secret Garden*—you know, that lovely movie from the 90s. The melody is soothing and truly makes me feel like I’m surrounded by vibrant, colorful nature; it’s like a safe haven when you’re feeling overwhelmed—at least, that’s how it feels to me. I also think it would be great for relaxing during long trips or if you’re having trouble falling asleep. I haven’t tried it for those specific situations—I mostly use it while working—but it really helps me out.
¡Hola Hola, gente de internet! ¿Cómo están? Para la propuesta de este mes en #youhive debemos hablar de esos canales que nos parecen muy relajantes, por mi parte me gustaría compartir con ustedes algunos de los videos que yo suelo usar cuando me siento estresada, o simplemente mientras redacto mis post para Hive. Este es uno de esos videos, contiene música muy bonita que emula los mejores momentos de El Jardín Secreto, ya saben, esa película tan bonita de los años 90. La melodía es apacible y de verdad me hace sentir como si estuviese rodeada de naturaleza vibrante y colorida, es como ese refugio seguro en el cuál puedes estar cuando te sientes demasiado agobiada, bueno, al menos yo lo siento así, además pienso que también se puede usar para relajarte durante viajes largos o cuando te cueste conciliar el sueño, no lo he probado de esa manera sino simplemente para trabajar pero me sirve bastante.
Another video I often play while I’m writing on my computer is something not everyone gets—haha, because they aren't on the same wavelength as me—but it’s a playlist featuring hits from the best Tim Burton movies (he’s my favorite director). While it includes a few tracks from films that aren't his, the majority are. You won't find romantic songs here, but rather melancholic ones; there are no sounds of canaries, only ravens. I swear, though, I find it relaxing—it evokes a solitary, gloomy atmosphere and a cloudy sky. I guess I’m just like Edgar Allan Poe; I find beauty in melancholy, hehe.
Otro video que siempre suelo poner mientras estoy redactando algo en la computadora es algo que no todo el mundo comprende jaja, porque no están en la misma vibra que yo, pero se trata de una play list que contiene los éxitos de las mejores películas de Tim Burton (mi director de cine favorito) y algunos éxitos de películas que no son suyas, pero la mayoría sí lo son, aquí no encontrarás canciones románticas sino melancólicas y tampoco hay sonidos canarios sino de cuervos, pero les juro que a mi me resulta relajante, me hace pensar en un ambiente solitario y lúgubre, un cielo nublado, pero es que yo soy como Edgar Allan Poe y encuentro belleza en la melancolía jeje.

The videos that relax me the most are those ASMR ones showing a bath and self-care routine—hehe, they make me crave having a bathtub and all those products so much. I swear, if I had them, I’d do the exact same thing (scented candles, drinks, relaxing music) and get ready to take a moment for myself amidst the bubbles.
Los videos que me causan más relajación son esos de ASMR que muestran una rutina de baño y cuidado personal jeje me dan unas ganas terribles de tener una tina y todos esos productos, de tenerlos les juro que haría lo mismo (velas aromáticas, bebidas, música relajante) y estaría lista para tomar un momento para mi en medio de las burbujas
At other times, I relax by listening to vintage music—and when I say vintage, I mean going way back, to before my parents were even born. I often put on this playlist when I get home from work; I take a bath, put on my headphones, and let myself get carried away by the music of the 40s. It relaxes me so much that I quickly start feeling sleepy and sleep wonderfully. 🤗 I also like listening to it on cloudy days or during heavy rain; I don't know why, but I just love it.
Otras veces me relajo escuchando música vintage, pero cuando digo vintage realmente me remonto a muy atrás, cuando ni siquiera mis padres habían nacido, a menudo pongo esta playlist cuando llego del trabajo, me doy un baño, me pongo los auriculares y me dejo llevar por esta música de los años 40, em relaja tanto que enseguida me empieza a dar sueño y duermo delicioso 🤗 también me gusta escucharla durante los días nublados o cuando hay lluvia fuerte, no sé porque pero me encanta.
Last but not least, I also want to share a playlist with you that was incredibly helpful when I worked as a nanny in Colombia; the music really helped soothe the baby I looked after. It’s just as useful now that I’m working as a nanny in my own country—whenever the baby gets a bit fussy or has trouble sleeping, I’ve noticed that playing this list calms him down, and he actually falls asleep quite quickly. And it’s no wonder, really—it features Disney hits, but in instrumental, piano-only versions.
Y finalmente pero no menos importante también quiero compartir con ustedes esta play list que me sirvió muchísimo cuando trabajé en Colombia como niñera, ya que con esta música y solía relajar mucho a la bebé con la que trabajaba y ahora que también estoy trabajando como niñera pero en mi propio país también me sirve, ya que cuando el bebé se pone un poco lloroso o le cuesta dormir, he notado que al poner esta play list se calma y de hecho se duerme bastante rápido ¿y cómo no? si se trata de los éxitos de Disney pero instrumentales, solo piano.
