Hello there, internet folks! How are you doing? Today I’m bringing you another one of *The Tales of Beedle the Bard*: "The Wizard and the Hopping Pot"—no, wait, actually it’s "The Wizard's Hairy Heart." Written by J.K. Rowling in the classic style of the Brothers Grimm, this tale tells the story of a young wizard who comes to view love as a terrible weakness; consequently, he uses dark magic to tear out his own heart and lock it away in a crystal casket. After being mocked by friends for remaining unmarried, he decides to woo a beautiful young woman, but she senses the hollowness of his flattery and accuses him of having no heart. Determined to prove otherwise, he takes her down to his castle dungeon to show it to her; however, the heart has become so corrupted by dark magic that it has shriveled and become covered in hair, leaving the horrified woman to beg him to put it back inside his chest.
¡Hola Hola, gente de internet! ¿Cómo están? Hoy traigo para ustedes una más de las historias de Beedle, el bardo, se trata de El corazón peludo del Brujo. Este cuento al mejor estilo de los hermanos Grimm, pero escrito por J.K Rowling, narra la historia de un joven brujo que de pronto empieza a pensar que el amor es una terrible debilidad, así que se arranca su propio corazón usando magia oscura, y lo encierra en un nicho de cristal. Al escuchar las burlas de sus amigos por no estar casado, decide cortejar a una joven hermosa, pero ella nota que sus halagos son vacíos y lo acusa de no tener corazón, sin embargo él quiso demostrarle que sí lo tenía, así que baja con ella a la mazmorra de su astillo para enseñárselo, no obstante este estaba tan corrupto por la magia oscura que se había encogido y estaba cubierto de pelos, entonces ella, horrorizado le suplica que vuelva a meterlo en su pecho.
But the moment he does it, something terrible happens: suddenly, he is consumed by a bloodthirsty madness; he lunges at the frail girl and tears the heart from her chest, and upon realizing what he has done, he is seized by panic at his horrific deed and begins stabbing himself to death.
Pero en cuanto él lo hace algo terrible sucede, de pronto él es consumido por una locura sangrienta, se abalanza sobre la frágil muchacha y le arranca el corazón del pecho, y al darse cuenta de lo que hizo se llenó de pánico ante su acto terrible y comenzó a apuñalarse hasta morir.
Este cuento, (que pertenece al universo de Harry Potter y está diseñado para niños magos y brujas) al igual que los cuentos para niños muggles pretende aleccionar, en este caso sobre la falta de empatía, esta supuesta falta de empatía del joven brujo, no fue más que un intento vano de aislarse socialmente quizá por temor al fracaso o al rechazo, extraerse el corazón lo protegería del sufrimiento emocional pero pronto descubriría que es imposible vivir sin emociones, el hombre las necesita para poder interactuar, el dolor forma parte de la vida también y hay que aceptarlo.
This tale—which belongs to the Harry Potter universe and is intended for young wizards and witches—aims to teach a lesson, much like stories for Muggle children; in this instance, the lesson concerns a lack of empathy. The young wizard’s apparent lack of empathy was merely a futile attempt to isolate himself socially—perhaps out of fear of failure or rejection. He believed that removing his heart would shield him from emotional suffering, only to discover that living without emotions is impossible; humans need them to interact, and pain is an inherent part of life that must be accepted.
Por otra parte estos cuentos pretenden advertir a los pequeños magos y brujas acerca del uso de la magia oscura, la cuál solo corrompe el alma, no la protege del dolor, al contrario, solo destruye y transforma para mal, tal como lo haría cualquier vicio en el mundo muggle, usarla como evasión puede ser contraproducente y terrible. El mago perdió la razón, se rebajó a un estado animal que lo transformó en un monstruo destructor y al darse cuenta de lo que había hecho ya era demasiado tarde, lo cuál lo llevó a autodestruirse.
The best part is Albus Dumbledore's commentary at the end of each tale; it helps set the mood, as the book is designed to make it feel like you are in the wizarding world—as if it truly exists. This helps ground you in the context, making the experience more immersive and entertaining.
Lo mejor de todo son los comentarios de Albus Dumbledore al final de cada cuento, estos sirven para entrar más en ambiente ya que el libro está diseñado para que parezca que estás en el mundo mágico, que este reamente existe, lo que te ayuda a entrar más en contexto, la experiencia se vuelve más inversiva y divertida
