Hello, hello internet people! How are you? Today I want to tell you, or rather, update you on what happened to my moped, since I had previously told you what happened to my sister and me last week while we were running some errands. That was a day of many setbacks and stress. First, we had a flat tire. We resolved the problem without incident and decided to move forward, but then the moped simply wouldn't move forward. The accelerator wouldn't react to any input, and we were stuck. But I'll leave all that information in this link in case you haven't read that post and are still a little curious.

Hoy quiero contarles, o mejor dicho, actualizarles lo que sucedi贸 con mi bici moto, ya que yo les hab铆a contado previamente a ustedes lo que nos sucedi贸 a mi hermana y a mi la semana pasada mientras est谩bamos haciendo algunas diligencias, ese fue un d铆a de muchos contratiempos y estr茅s, primero se nos desinfl贸 un caucho, resolvimos el problema sin contratiempos y decidimos avanzar pero despu茅s la bici moto simplemente no quiso seguir avanzando, el acelerador no reaccionaba a est铆mulos y nos quedamos varadas, pero toda esa informaci贸n se las dejar茅 en este link en caso de que no hayan le铆do ese post y ustedes sientan un poco de curiosidad.
Well, just as I told you in the previous post, I had to leave my moped in a workshop where at least, after so much investigation, they told me that the problem was an internal part that is inside the throttle, without that part the mechanic could not solder the cables that stopped making contact. What happens is that a while ago I had a small accident, a car crossed my path without using the turn signals, so obviously I ended up hitting it and fell to the ground, thank God I did not receive greater injuries than a slight scrape on my calf, also the driver was a doctor so, recognizing his mistake, he checked me and confirmed that I was okay, but apparently, when the moped hit the ground this part was damaged, no wonder I felt the throttle grip a little loose, but due to inexperience and honestly, negligence, I did not pay attention to the matter, because it still worked, but it got to the point where it simply could not hold up anymore and broke down.
Bien, tal como les cont茅 en el post anterior, yo tuve que dejar mi bici moto en un taller donde al menos, luego de tanto indagar, me dijeron que el problema era una pieza interna que est谩 dentro del acelerador, sin esa pieza el mec谩nico no podr铆a soldar los cables que dejaron de hacer contacto. Lo que sucede es que hace un tiempo yo tuve un peque帽o accidente, un carro se atraves贸 en mi camino sin usar las luces direccionales, as铆 que obviamente termin茅 impact谩ndolo y ca铆 al piso, gracias a Dios yo no recib铆 mayores da帽os que un ligero rasp贸n en mi pantorrilla, adem谩s el conductor era m茅dico as铆 que, reconociendo su error, me revis贸 y comprob贸 que yo estaba bien, pero al parecer, cuando la bici moto impact贸 contra el suelo se da帽贸 esta pieza, con raz贸n yo sent铆a el pu帽o del acelerador un poco flojo, pero por inexperiencia y honestamente, por negligencia, no le prest茅 atenci贸n al asunto, debido a que a煤n funcionaba, pero lleg贸 el punto en el que simplemente ya no aguant贸 m谩s y se averi贸.
The shop didn't have that part, so the bike was left stranded there while I looked for it, but no matter how hard I looked, no shop had it. In addition, that day I tried to contact the manufacturer, but to top it all off, the power had been out for five hours and my phone battery was dead. So the next day I decided to go directly to the dealership where they sold me the moped. There they finally told me that they had the part at the assembly plant, so they would have to order it and it would arrive in approximately two weeks. But then I would have to take my moped home, and since it wasn't working, I had to figure it out. Fortunately, my neighbor across the street, who has a pickup truck, offered to do me a favor and go get my moped. My dad and our next-door neighbor, who has also always been a very good person, joined in. When they arrived, they all loaded the moped onto the truck, and the mechanic explained the situation to them, what needed to be repaired, and all that.
En el taller no ten铆an esa pieza, as铆 que la moto se qued贸 all铆 varada mientras yo buscaba la pieza pero por m谩s que la buscaba, ning煤n taller la ten铆a, adem谩s ese d铆a intent茅 contactar con la empresa fabricante pero para colmo se hab铆a cortado la energ铆a el茅ctrica por cinco horas y me qued茅 sin bater铆a en mi telefono, por lo tanto al d铆a siguiente decid铆 ir directamente a la agencia donde me vendieron la bici moto, y all铆 finalmente me dijeron que la pieza la ten铆an en la planta ensambladora, as铆 que tendr铆an que solicitarla y llegar铆a aproximadamente en dos semanas, pero entonces tendr铆a que llevar mi bici moto a casa y en vista de que no funcionaba ten铆a que ingeni谩rmelas. Afortunadamente mi vecino del frente quien tiene una camioneta pick up se ofreci贸 a hacerme el favor de ir a buscar mi bici moto, y a la labor se sumaron mi pap谩 y nuestro vecino de al lado que tambi茅n siempre ha sido muy buena persona. Al llegar al lugar entre todos subieron la bici moto a la camioneta y el mec谩nico les explic贸 a ellos la situaci贸n, qu茅 era lo que se deb铆a reparar y todo ese asunto.
I felt very relieved to see them there because the private trucks charged me a lot for the transfer, which was from the center of the city of Valencia (Venezuela) to the south, so I am very grateful to my neighbors and my dad, and obviously I am also grateful to the mechanic for having protected my moped for a couple of days (while I tried to locate the part I needed) and also because despite telling me where the problem was, he did not charge me for the inspection.
Me sent铆 muy aliviada de verlos all铆 porque las camionetas particulares me cobraban muy caro por el traslado, el cu谩l era desde el centro de la ciudad de Valencia (Venezuela) hasta el sur, por eso estoy muy agradecida con mis vecinos y mi pap谩, adem谩s obviamente tambi茅n estoy agradecida con el mec谩nico por haber resguardado mi bici moto un par de d铆as (en lo que yo trataba de localizar la pieza que necesitaba) y adem谩s porque a pesar de decirme donde estaba el problema no me cobr贸 por la revisi贸n.
So we got home and took Elizabeth (my moped) inside. It makes me sad to be like I was at the beginning, without transportation to go to and from work, or to run errands, but I must admit that it could have been worse and it wasn't. Also, in a week I hope the part I need arrives and can solve the problem definitively.
As铆 llegamos a la casa y llevamos a Elizabeth (mi bicimoto) adentro, me tiene triste el hecho de estar como al principio, sin transporte para ir y regresar de mi trabajo, o para hacer diligencias, pero debo reconocer que pudo haber sido peor y no lo fue, adem谩s dentro de una semana espero que llegue la pieza que necesito y que pueda resolver el problema definitivamente 馃檹
