Hi there, internet folks! How are you doing? Today I want to share that I’m looking for a nice, suitable venue for a K-pop event I’ve been planning lately. It won’t be a huge event—just for about twenty people, give or take—but I need a cool, reasonably priced spot to host my guests. That search led me to Charlotte Café; I hadn't been there since I worked there a few years ago. It’s a lovely place—sort of like Starbucks—with several locations across the city. They don’t have a dedicated party or event room, but you can reserve tables.
¡Hola Hola, gente de internet! ¿Cómo están? Hoy quiero contarles que estoy en la búsqueda de un lugar bonito y adecuado para hacer un evento de Kpop que he venido planeando últimamente, no será un evento demasiado grande (apenas para unas veinte personas más o menos) pero necesito un lugar genial y no demasiado costoso en el cuál meter a mis invitadas, así que he estado en esa búsqueda, de esta manera llegué a Charlotte Café, un lugar al que yo no iba desde que trabajé allí hace algunos años, es un lugar bonito, más o menos del estilo de Starbucks y tiene varias sucursales a lo largo de la ciudad, no tienen un salón de fiestas o eventos como tal pero se pueden reservar mesas.
So, I got straight to work putting together price quotes while waiting for the coffee I’d ordered to arrive (I love the coffee they serve here; they offer a wide variety of flavors and styles, ranging from the traditional to the elaborate). I also like the menu—something I need to keep in mind for the event. That day, I also set out to buy a few things I’d need for the occasion; so there I was, surrounded by invoices and the aroma of coffee wafting through the air, waiting to speak with the manager.
Así que me puse a trabajar full armando presupuestos mientras me traían el café que ordené (amo el café que sirven en este lugar, tienen gran variedad de sabores y estilos que van desde los más tradicionales hasta los más elaborados) el menú también me agrada y es algo que tengo que tomar en cuenta para el evento. Ese día también me dediqué a comprar algunas cosas que necesitaría para la ocasión, entonces allí estaba yo mientras esperaba al gerente del lugar para hablar con él, rodeada de facturas con el aroma del café orbitando en el aire.
This branch is partnered with another franchise called Boston that sells fried chicken. Obviously, I need to keep visiting restaurants and cafés to figure out the best option, but the truth is that Charlotte has a great vibe—though, since it doesn't have a proper dining room, I’m not entirely sure. Even so, it has a really interesting vintage feel and top-notch service; and although I didn't try any dessert the day I visited, I know they usually sell some delicious ones because, as I mentioned, I used to work there a few years ago.
Esta sucursal está aliada con otra franquicia que se llama Boston y venden pollo frito. Obviamente tengo que seguir visitando restaurantes y cafés para evaluar cual es la mejor opción pero la verdad es que Charlotte tiene buenas vibras aunque al no tener un salón como tal no estoy tan segura. Aun así tiene vibras vintage muy interesantes, la atención es de primera y aunque ese día que fui no degusté algún postre, sé que suelen vender algunos muy deliciosos porque como ya mencioné, yo solía trabajar allí hace algunos años.
That day, a torrential downpour was falling, enveloping the entire city in a somber, melancholic, and chilly atmosphere, so I ordered another coffee; the first time I’d had a vanilla latte, but this time I felt like having a caramel one—and it was delicious. I think that’s the best way to enjoy the rain—what do you all think?
Ese día caía un torrencial aguacero que cubrió toda la ciudad en un aire taciturno, melancólico y frío, así que yo me pedí otro café más, en la primera ocasión fue un latte vainilla y en esta se me antojó un caramel que estaba delicioso, pienso que esa es la mejor manera de disfrutar la lluvia ¿ustedes qué opinan?
