Hello there, crafts people!

I got invited to help in the making of some Christmas ornaments at octocel@octocel's grandpa's house. The idea was making some of the balls that are usually hanged on the branched of the tree.

The idea was using styrofoam balls as the base of the ornament. All of these had already been marked with lines for the resto to work on them. So the operation worked in steps. First, pick the design you liked and decide on what fabric to use. Second, use something sharp to carve the lines on the ball. Third, cut the fabric and use something blunt to tug the fabric in the groves we had made previously. The next step is to repeat the movement of adding fabric to the groves until the ball is covered. Now we use some other thread to make sure the fabric does not come out. We use pins to hold the thread in place. Finally, we can use some glue to create a hoop so the ball can hang on the tree.

It was a nice day of work on crafts. I made two of these balls but only documented the first one as the other was easier to make. I gotta say that having good hands for crafts and patience works wonders on this kind of tasks. I would probably go and do some more of this again.
