Woohoo! The wait after the Monster Raffle is always going to be the most exciting... it is like waiting for Christmas again, but the adult version! Wait... that probably came out a bit wrong... anyway, mind out of the gutter, this is still the adult version of Christmas!
... and with the tracking links... it is even more nerve racking, as you see it stalled in customs... and then routing to the right city after being released. And then... this morning, the notification "delivery attempted, addressee unavailable... attempt again later"! Yes... I don't live at the Post Office... so, I'll drive down to see what had happened.
Weird things sometimes happen with international deliveries to PO Boxes... sometimes it is a problem that requires a contact with the shipping service, and most of the time... well, it is a janky delivery codes, or just the wrong codes. It turned out that the parcel was waiting at the PO Box for me to pick up. In which case, a preferable code would have been the "Waiting for pick up at Post Office".... that would have freaked me out a bit less!
You guys must be nightmares at present time during the real Christmas season! Every package has been triple wrapped in tape! Definitely secure... I hope you don't do this to your kids toys though!
Big thanks to @bulliontools for the prize! (Two prizes in one package!)
First up was the piece that was the reason that I chose the prize as one of my first picks! What is a Kingdom Card? I had no idea, but I just had to know... so, 1 ounce of silver fashioned into a thin credit-card sized wafer and with one kick-arse design on it! Love the design!
Next up was the Engelhard 1-oz bar that was part of the other prize... I've been trying to get an Engelhard piece for ages, and I keep just missing out on the various auctions and such things. Now I have one! WOOOOOO!!!!!
Then we move to the other pieces in the prize collections. This very nice aged 1980 1 ounce Mexican silver coin is going to fill out a nice gap in my collection. I have newer silver from Australia, Canada, Austria, and USA... but nothing from Mexico! Not entirely sure why I have that gap... but it is there, and now I have a nice older one!
From the nicely aged silver pieces to the real shiny shinies! This one ounce trident from Barbados with the Trident? Again, another hole in my collection, and I'm pretty happy to have filled up that gap! The design is simple but very striking!
I have Canadian Maple Leaves in my collection... they are pretty stock standard ones, but this Eagle is a nice change! Half an ounce and a great design of the striking eagle coming in for its prey! And on the reverse, the old head of state! Come to think of it, I don't think I have any of the new head of state yet... something that I will have to fix up!
... and last, but not least! The little 1/10 ounce baby... it is super cute though! As I had mentioned before, I didn't have any Mexican silver in my collection... and now I finally have a Libertad! Awesome!
Big thanks again to the #silvergoldstackers community for running the ever enjoyable Monster Raffle, and to @bulliontools for providing these awesome prizes!
