My family hired a boat to take us to a sacred tree where people leave the bodies of their dead in the open air. We hired the wrong boat as they only allowed boats from the other town to approach their sacred tree and we were denied access. Still so grateful for the day, especially getting up close to the newish statues on the north end of the lake.
