Let me start by saying that this post has nothing to do with getting married BUT, if you you could tarry for a moment, you'll get me. You weren't clickbaited.
So for months now, I've been lobbying my fiance to allow me buy a bicycle but she constantly denies my request because she doesn't see the importance of it.
After months of wearing down her defences, she finally yielded today and I immediately rushed out to buy it before she changes her mind or some shit. See? So she finally said yes
So it's a simple mountain bike. It's second hand, so I got it at a fair price of 32,000 Naira or like $72. It's more expensive than I hoped it would be but considering how pretty it is and how much @abh12345 said he got his(granted his own is new and probably came with protective gear), I think this is a fair price.
I went for this type of bike because of my terrain. The roads are horrible and would probably damage the shock absorber and other parts of a normal race bike that are better suited for smooth tracks.
I'm not much of cycling head, so I don't know much about how to describe the specs. However, here's all I can say about the bike;
I took her for a spin today. Probably did like 1.5km and my thighs are already killing me. This shows how much out of shape I am and I have to sort that out.
I like the idea of having fun, feeling the wind on my face and getting fit at the same time. It will take a while but in the long run, I think it was a good idea. Now it's all about adjusting to this damn pain in my thighs.
