I got to Port Harcourt safely after the 1-hour flight from Abuja to Port Harcourt. There was some Turbulence during the take off and then some while landing but it was generally a very smooth flight.
No matter how many times I travel by flight, the fact that this vehicle that's bigger than my house is flying across the sky. In any case, it is still the safest way to travel so I'll just suck it up.
My original plan was to spend a couple of days in Port Harcourt before moving to Bayelsa but my mum had other plans. She tends to have things go her way, so I decided to cave in and follow my brother back to bayelsa rather than stay in Port Harcourt.
I still got to spend a couple of hours with my nephews. It was incredible to see them and how much they have grown.
The oldest that's turning 9 in November has grown so much in the past two years. He's about my height these days and a very active one.
His younger brother turned 7 in March and that one is a real chatterbox. He always has one story to tell and never stops running around the house.
Toys and Us
Safe to say that they absolutely loved playing with their toy cars. I mean, who wouldn't want to drive a remote-controlled toy car with Avengers branding?
It was lovely to see the glee in their eyes as they drove the cars around the house. Their mum estimates that it'll be 48 hours before the toys are completely destroyed and here I was thinking that it'll survive for 1 week.
Anyway, all that matters is that momentary joy and the memory of the toy while it lasts. The boys were on cloud 9 and living the dream.
I got to Bayelsa a couple of hours later to meet my parents and even more nephews. So, just in case you're not keeping up, there are two nephews in Port Harcourt and then three more that were waiting for me in Bayelsa, two of which are twins.
We're all staying at my parents' or their grandparents' place and I have to say, it has been chaos. There's never a dull moment in the household, as my nephews go crazy all over the place.
I'm only meeting the youngest of the nephew crew for the first time because he was just a bun in the oven the last time I was around in July. He's going to be two years old in a couple of days and is also very chatty.
The next couple of days will be very chaotic and I intend to enjoy it as much as I can.
