As a kid, I use to think that Sunday was a day set out for the sun to shine. It only seemed right too because for as long as I can remember, Sundays were mostly sunny and always had a different vibe to it.
Well according to Wikipedia;
The name "Sunday", the day of the Sun, is derived from Hellenistic astrology, where the seven planets, known in English as Saturn, Jupiter, Mars, the Sun, Venus, Mercury and the Moon, each had an hour of the day assigned to them, and the planet which was regent during the first hour of any day of the week gave its name to that day.
Reading it leads me even more befuddled, so lets just stick with the first line and agree that perhaps I was right that it is day for Sun, and any rain fall will not be welcomed.
So on this day of the sun, I took a stroll out to buy some sweet potatoes that go well with beans prridge. I wanted to take a quick selfie but the Sun had other ideas and had me squinting.
This time I had my factory fitted sun protector on and tried again. I think I did better than the first.
Days are flying by, yet I feel like I've stagnated. I look forward to better times ahead and when this lockdown will finally end so I can finally get a haircut to put an end to this hobo swag I'm rocking. So how's your day of the Sun going?
