Hi friends!
Today I will start talking about Ukrainian craft breweries.
I will write 1-2 times a week about breweries that are active participants in the craft revolution in Ukraine.
So let's go:
1) VARVAR brewery
The brewery was founded in May 2015 in Kyiv. Founder Vasyl Mykulyn loves to travel and look for new combinations and tastes. He is very inspired by Scandinavian motifs, because the logo of the brewery is taken by a Viking with a hop beard.
This brewery is famous all over Ukraine for bold experiments, barrel projects, bright collaborations and constant movement forward!
The brewery often earns medals at international competitions and shows that Ukrainian brewing lives and has prospects.
My favorite varieties: IPAnema, Milk Stout, Transatlantic flight, Amalgam, BlueYellow Sub.
2 Hutsul craft brewery Tsypa
Founded in 2015 in the picturesque village of Kvasy, Zakarpattia region. Chief Brewer Yuro Yurovich is a very sincere and open-minded person who will show the brewery, give a taste of beer, and tell many interesting stories.
This brewery uses spring water, which makes the profile of beer special, and a feature of Tsypa beer is the use of local fruits, berries and herbs.
Tsypa are regularly brewed by interesting and extraordinary experiments, which take medals at international beer competitions and bring good beer this brewery outside Ukraine.
My favorite varieties: Bila, Plombir, 100, Na molotsi, Chorna.
3 Did craft brewery
The brewery was founded in 2018 by two friends - home brewers Sergei and Yegor. There is a brewery in the village of Velyka Bugaivka in the Kyiv region. The guys are very creative and emotional approach to the creation of new varieties and are not afraid to experiment, what especially distinguishes this brewery - is their friendship. At beer festivals near their tent, people are always crowded, it's fun and delicious.
DiD has achievements in the form of medals at national competitions, and this is just the beginning, looking at the latest varieties, I can say that they will make us happy!
My favorite varieties: Chernobyl, Flat black, Marrakesh, Amitola, Adequad.
4 Hoppy Hog
Cheerful brewers from the sunny city of Odessa.
This is a family brewery where everyone works for the result.
Hoppy Hog is a brewery with a special approach to taste - they make beer with a profile of desserts, with spices, fruits and even tobacco! At festivals they always have queues and music, you can try the beer and dance and sing.
My favorite varieties: Tiramisu, Peach Milkshake IPA, Red Cap, Sweet Dreams, Robin Goodfellow.
5 Didko
Probably the most outrageous craft brewery, which is characterized by creativity, marketing and experimentation.
The brewery's founder, Yevhen Bilichenko, started with home brewing and now brews beer on a contract basis. Everything is bright in the brewery: wonderful labels, bright tastes, advertising that becomes viral on social networks.
When it was founded - only Didko knows))))
The history of the brewery has cool collaborations, interesting presentations of varieties and the love from birgiks.
My favorite varieties: Double Trouble, Zhest`, Sweet Shit “Raspberries”, Gorilo Palalo, Cherry Poison
