It makes sense given our age gap. Women I know never had to deal with what you had to deal with, so their experiences are different. Which means, they focus on "smaller" issues compared what you had to deal with, which is "smaller" compared to what the Suffragettes had to deal with (I'm assuming you're not 120 years old here...).

Which in the end proves the progress that is being made.

One question that came to mind when you mentioned your relationship - did the change in women's rights and hence in society ever affect it? Or where you clear and streamlined from the start on where you wanted to got as team/partner/marrieds? Kind of "we do our own thing"? If you don't mind the question :-)
