Provocation is the intend, that's correct. And I'm happy to discuss any of the points, I'm somewhat flexible on that position.
What I meant with gender-balanced-rights is not that men wouldn't have the same right. Of course they have the right to decide over their body. If there's some right regarding menstruation cycles and the heavy impact that comes with it, men would of course have the same right - they just don't menstruate, at least the vast majority of them, considering trans. Just like it was with maternity leave, which was later adopted into paternity leave, too, at least in some countries. Women gained protection from being fired for being pregnant. Men don't need that right.
Of course, there's a lot of ramifications of that, men being preferred in companies over women as women can get pregnant and such.
About relationships - what I failed to include is that I referred to "need" in the traditional marriage way, being dependent on the men bringing in the money, and the women running the household. Of course I do need Ellie in many ways, but it's not dependency.
Second point to that, every relationship is different. That is also new these days, we can pick the type of relationship we want. If I'd enjoy being in a dependent relationship, I can find a partner who is into the same. Dependency has a lot of perks, not only downsides, and I know cases of relationships that are working extremely well in that order. Mostly ones that are like yours, unbelievably long relationships, starting way before today's status quo of rights and rules. I mean, I wasn't even born when your relationship started... 😅
I'm looking forward to all the change that is coming within and outside my relationship. Until now, each change has brought us closer to each other, and I enjoy that a lot. I can't even imagine anything to tear us apart (beside death, obviously).
