This is obviously intended to be provocative, and it is, but I agree with a lot of your points.

I don't want the same rights as men. I want rights granted to me without regard to gender. That's it. A neutral playing field. Let me duke it out in a free society and see if I can 'make it'.

As for not needing your partner. I need my husband. He needs me. We've been together for 53 years and the one thing that has become clear is that we need each other. It is a beautiful thing. It's wonderful to be needed, to be essential to another person's happiness.
