Work days are satisfying. And tiring. While Tuesday is awesome, as I wrote, Fridays are becoming the days I don’t really like. Ibarra is dead on Fridays. I’m thinking about ways to change that, especially now that school is starting again. One idea is to make little videos on how to prepare a delicious sandwich quickly, as a lunch break. Most children here unfortunately get really unhealthy stuff, either sent from home or at the cafeterias who are not that focused on nutrition, but rather the sales and cheapness.
I always took sandwiches with me when I went to school. Easy to make, delicious, simple. Mom didn’t give it too much thought. I, on the other hand, do. I love extravagant sandwiches with lettuce and tomato and layers and layers of stuff that combines perfectly. Yummy!
Anyway, Ibarra was dead, and I had quite a bit left over when I left the market. I went to deliver some baguettes to one of our oldest clients (old both in age as well as business relationships), and then to Kami’s old school to pick up her records. Ellie decided to change her to a school in Cotacachi. The quality of education is less, but so is the cost, and they don’t have to get up at 4.30am anymore. The former school as a Christian one, and they had very Christian music in the waiting room, that was interesting.
The good part – back in Cotacachi, it took me only one round of walking, combined with deliveries, to get rid of all the bread I had left. It really is so much easier to sell here. And Friday afternoons are already packed with many tourists and potential new clients. I’m really thinking about how to expand the business a little further.
We cancelled the jamsession in the evening as the musicians are all occupied. Great for me, as I was tired, so we just watched Agatha Christie’s “The seven dials” on Netflix. @erikah , did you watch that one yet? Mixed performance in my opinion. The lead actress is really good, and Helena Bonham Carter is always a treat to watch perform. Though for some reason I always see her in that type of role. Just saw that there’s a serious movie with her and Antony Hopkins, called “One Life”. I don’t like the settings, movies about the Holocaust always cause me much trouble, but it might be good to expose myself to that – and the two of them in one movie might be worth it.
Wow, long diary today. Sorry! Thank you for reading, have a great day!
