I always anticipate weekends. It could be Monday already and I would start picturing how my weekend is going to look like. I don鈥檛 know if it's because my weekdays are usually filled with loads of work. I wake up every Monday feeling grumpy and tired.
With this, it is glaring and obvious that on my weekends I do not like to work. A colleague of mine once asked me why I always stay back late every Thursday. I told her I just didn鈥檛 want to have any work follow me home for the weekend. My weekends are simply days I get to stay off work.
I must say I admire people who work over the weekend. I admire them but I do not want to be in their shoes. I will always tell my friends Weekends are my Me-time. So I try my best not to have any work over the weekend.
Most people tend to party and attend events on weekends, I do not find that fun. I am extremely lazy to go out during weekends, I do not even want to step my feet outside. I just want to stay indoors and watch all the movies I have slated to see during the weekend. I usually prepare my movie list so I can keep myself busy with it.
If I am not seeing a movie then I am sleeping.
When I get invited to events during the weekend, if I am to attend any of them, I simply prepare myself ahead. I do not see myself planning my weekend by Monday or Tuesday and then I get invited to a wedding by Thursday or Friday. I am not leaving my house cause I do not leave my house on weekends except when it is super important.
I could stay in my pajamas from morning till late evening on Saturdays. It feels relaxing and peaceful. It feels normal to most people to use their weekends to visit friends and loved ones but please do not visit me on a Saturday. I do not find it entertaining. I just love to stay all by myself in my pajamas, eat junk, watch movies, sleep, and not do anything related to work.
If at all I would love a visit on weekends, I would prefer it to be on Sundays.
Some Sundays, I hang out with friends, and we play games. But this happens after I have disappointed them for a long time since I just like staying indoors. Most times it is fun but sometimes I just want to run back home and sleep on my bed since weekends are always short. Just a blink of an eye and the weekend is over.
These are signs of a lazy weekend but I love all my weekends being lazy cause my weekdays are filled with so much work and going out of the house. Anything stress I don鈥檛 want it during the weekend. The weekend should be for just Relaxation.
