( EN / DE ) Dear Needlework Community, it's the first time. that I post something here, because actually I haven't done anything crafty with needle and thread for a very very long time.
Only the interest in spring / summer hats and beanies now brought me "back to the needle" ;-)
Das Körbchen, das ein Sonnen Hut hätte werden sollen...
Liebe Needlework Community, es ist das erste mal. dass ich hier etwas poste, denn tatsächlich habe ich schon sehr sehr lange nichts Handwerkliches mehr mit Nadel und Faden gemacht.
Erst das Interesse an frühlingshaften / sommerlichen Mützen und Beanies hat mich wieder "zurück zur Nadel gebracht" ;-)
The first attempt started with this red wool that I still had at home, but it was probably the wrong wool and crochet hook size, because this project soon didnt look like a beanie, but looked like I will not continue it. But it was also the first time in years, no rather decades, that I crocheted something. So may I be excused this failed attempt :-)
Der erste Versuch startete mit Wolle, die ich noch zu Hause hatte, aber es war wohl die falsche Wolle und Häkelnadelgröße, denn dieses Projekt sah schon bald nicht wirklich nach einer Beanie Mütze, sondern eher danach, dass ich es nicht fortsetzen werde, aus. Es war ja aber auch das erste mal seit Jahren, nein eher seit Jahrzehnten, dass ich etwas gehäkelt habe. So möge mir dieser misslungene Versuch entschuldigt sein :-)
So yesterday I went out to buy the right wool and crochet hook and it was really fun to start the project. Beautifully soft pleasant cotton.
Also bin ich gestern losgezogen um die richtige Wolle und Häkelnadel zu kaufen und es hat mir richtig Spaß gemacht, das Projekt zu beginnen. Schön weiche angenehme Baumwolle.
I had chosen a tutorial for a bucket hat, but one that had different stitch sizes in the front and back so that the hat would fit better and not slip forward so much.
Ausgewählt hatte ich eine Anleitung für einen Bucket Hut, aber eine, die vorne und hinten unterschiedliche Stäbchen Größen hat, damit der Hut besser sitzt und nicht so nach vorne rutscht.
The beginning worked really well! I was not sure at first, which side should now be inside and which outside at the end, nevertheless, I have cheerfully crocheted further.
Der Anfang hat dann auch echt gut geklappt! Ich war mir erst nicht sicher, welche Seite nun am Ende innen und welche außen sein sollte, trotzdem habe ich fröhlich weiter gehäkelt.
Row after row the hat grew and I kept checking to see if it would fit on my head before the increase rounds were finished.
Reihe um Reihe wuchs also der Hut und ich habe immer wieder geguckt, ob er nun wohl auf meinen Kopf passt, bevor die Zunehm Runden beendet sind.
And here I think I made a mistake in my thinking... The upper part already fits well on my head, but I should have calculated the size more accurately (diameter x PI 3.14 = circumference). Well, I didnt and happy guessing startet with the rows without increase.
Und hier ist mir wohl ein Denkfehler passiert... Der obere Teil passt schon gut auf meinen Kopf, aber ich hätte die Größe genauer berechnen sollen (Durchmesser x PI 3,14 = Umfang) tja, habe ich aber nicht sondern froh gemut mit den Reihen ohne Zunahme angefangen
Of course, I also had a visitor and was closely observed... What is she doing there again now? She has never done since I'm here! Ah, but this rolling ball of wool, that looks very interesting ;-)
Natürlich hatte ich auch Besuch und wurde genauestens beobachtet... Was macht sie da jetzt schon wieder? Hat sie doch noch nie gemacht seit ich hier bin! Ah, aber dieses herum rollende Wollknäuel, das sieht schon sehr interessant aus ;-)
Then came the point when I realized THIS hat does NOT fit on my head and I was really totally frustrated! So many rows unravel to continue again at the increase row? Besides, it was already late in the evening.
Dann kam der Punkt, an dem ich realisierte, dass DIESER Hut NICHT auf meinen Kopf passt und ich war echt total frustriert! So viele Reihen auftrennen um wieder bei der Zunahme Reihe weiter zu machen? Außerdem war es schon spät Abends.
Disappointed, I sat back and suddenly the inspiration came to me! It's not a hat, it's a basket! And it would also be handy for future crochet projects to store the wool in it!
Enttäuscht habe ich mich zurückgelehnt und da kam mir plötzlich die Eingebung! Es ist kein Hut, es ist ein Körbchen! Und es wäre doch auch praktisch für zukünftige Häkel Projekte die Wolle darin aufzubewahren!
So I just unraveled the last row, which also had stitches and crocheted a solid normal row - et voila! Finished was my super nice crochet basket, am totally in love :-)
Also habe ich nur die letzte Reihe, die auch Stäbchen hatte aufgetrennt und eine feste normale Reihe gehäkelt - et voila! Fertig war mein super nettes Häkel Körbchen, bin total verliebt :-)
Lessons learned:
1 - a hat with a diameter of 48 cm does not fit on a head with 56 cm and the mathematical formula "diameter x PI = circumference" can be helpful
2 - sitting back and taking a breath can give you wonderful ideas
3 - it gives me great pleasure to crochet
1 - ein Hut mit einem Durchmesser von 48 cm passt nicht auf einen Kopf mit 56 cm und die mathematische Formel "Durchmesser x PI = Umfang" kann hilfreich sein
2 - Zurücklehnen und durchatmen können dich auf wunderbare Ideen bringen
3 - Es macht mir große Freude zu Häkeln
