( EN / DE ) For a long time now, we have turned night into day, the winter comfortably warm and the summer iced. All this perhaps at the expense of nature and the environment, but certainly at the expense of our own nature and health.
We have disconnected ourselves from any kind of natural rhythm, light dark, sun moon, summer winter, spring autumn, merged into a uniform mash. Always the same and always faster higher further, we all too often leave so much valuable unnoticed at the side of the road, whereby this road has long ceased to be a road, but rather a highway.
We turn time upside down, change the middle of the day, which is naturally exactly when the sun is at its highest, just because we have too little time for ourselves in an ever faster turning society. And while the earth, this fantastic creature in the universe, continues to turn and swing in the ancient rhythm, man thinks he knows better.
Schon lange haben wir die Nacht zum Tag gemacht, den Winter wohlig warm und den Sommer eisgekühlt. Dies alles vielleicht auf Kosten der Natur und Umwelt, auf jeden Fall aber auf Kosten unserer eigenen Natur und Gesundheit.
Wir haben uns abgekoppelt von jeder Art von natürlichem Rhythmus, hell dunkel, Sonne Mond, Sommer Winter, Frühling Herbst, verschmolzen zu einem Einheitsbrei. Immer gleich und immer schneller höher weiter lassen wir nur allzu oft so viel Wertvolles unbeachtet am Wegesrand liegen, wobei dieser Weg schon lange kein Weg mehr, sondern vielmehr eine Autobahn ist.
Wir stellen die Zeit auf den Kopf, verändern die Mitte des Tages, welche natürlicherweise genau dann ist, wenn die Sonne am höchsten steht, nur weil wir zu wenig Zeit für uns haben in einer sich immer schneller drehenden Gesellschaft. Und wahrend die Erde, dieses fantastische Geschöpf im Universum, sich immer weiter im uralten Rhythmus dreht und schwingt, denkt der Mensch er wisse es besser.

Sollen weder belehrend noch bekehrend sein, denn jeder darf sein Leben auf diesem Planeten gestalten wie er es für richtig hält. Jederzeit die Wahl zu haben scheint mir mit eines der höchsten Güter die wir besitzen.

only came to my mind today, sitting quietly in the darkness of the night during the Earth Hour and also because of tomorrow's changeover to daylight saving time in our region.

kamen mir nur heute, während dere Earth Hour im Dunkel der Nacht still sitzend und auch wegen der morgigen Umstellung auf Sommerzeit in den Sinn.
