Das neue Fichtenbäumchen im Garten brauchte auch eine neue Lichterkette und ab ging es in den Baumarkt. Es war zu erwarten, dennoch bin ich immer wieder über dieses riesige Angebot an Waren verblüfft.
Christmas lights... for inside or outside? Long or short? With cable or battery? Flashing, warm white or shrill?

Lichterketten... für innen oder außen? Lang oder kurz? Mit Kabel oder Batterie? Blinkend, warm weiß oder schrill?
Ach herrjeh! Schrill auf gar keinen Fall. Dann unbedingt mit Kabel, denn so viele Batterien will ich auf keinen Fall verschwenden.
Solarbetrieben? "Nein, sowas führen wir nicht." Schade eigentlich.

Also gut, es wurde eine LED Lichterkette, die Lampen in Kerzenform in warm weißem Licht Ton mit einem Kabel, das lange genug ist um im Keller mit einer Zeitschaltuhr und Strom versorge zu werden.
Dann musste man es also nur noch schaffen, irgendwie an all diesen zauberhaften Deko Artikel vorbei zu kommen, ohne einen zu kaufen. Denn, Hand aufs Herz, wer hat nicht schon genügend Deko zu Hause?

Man kann heutzutage auch nirgends mehr shoppen gehen, ohne an die größte Nachteule aller Zeiten Mr. Tengolodoto erinnert zu werden!

Ach, bei manchen fiel es schon schwer, sie nicht in den Einkaufwagen zu legen. Aber ich war standfest und ausser 4 Kerzen für den Adventskranz und einem neuem Strom Verlängerungskabel das fällig war, kam nichts mehr dazu.

So wurde heute schon die Lichterkette auf das Bäumchen montiert, leuchten wird es ab morgen Abend, den ganzen Advent und Jänner hindurch, bis zum 1. Februar 2023, um die dunkle Jahreszeit ein wenig zu erhellen.

Dann gibt es um diese Jahreszeit noch etwas anderes, das beinahe wie Einkaufen ist! In den Keller gehen und die Weihnachts Dekorationen suchen :-)
And here they are, my treasures! The apartment I will decorate on the weekend and who knows maybe already will be listening to some Christmas music while arranging everything.
Und da sind auch schon meine Schätze! Die Wohnung werde ich aber erst am Wochenende dekorieren und ja, wer weiß vielleicht schonmal die erste Weihnachts Musik dabei hören.
