Charly whooped with joy, the new game was simply brilliant! He quickly familiarized himself with the car, overtaking one fellow player after the other. The powerful engine howled with every maneuver. Ingenious, how real it felt.
Only one more vehicle separated Charly from victory. But the leader was good!
"Okay, full risk," thought Charly, gripping the leather steering wheel tightly, stepping fully on the gas in the bend.

All the drivers stood around the completely burned-out wreck of the car. Why had Charly been so reckless? In the real world, you only have one life! And this was now extinguished.

This was my contribution to the current #dreemwotw challenge. A so-called "drabble" is a short story with exactly the length of 100 words.

I used the prompt option no 5

The Real World

to write the mini story.

Thank you, @samsmith1971 for the opportunity to count the 100 words for the German text, which made the writing much easier. Funnily enough, however, both German and English texts have a length of 100 words, which is not always the case with translations.

Eine "WOTW" 100 Wörter Kurzgeschichte

Charly jauchzte vor Freude, das neue Spiel war einfach genial! Schnell hatte er sich mit dem Fahrzeug vertraut gemacht, überholte einen Mitspieler nach dem anderen. Bei jedem Manöver heulte der kräftige Motor auf. Genial, wie echt sich das anfühlte.
Nur noch ein einziges Fahrzeug trennte Charly vom Sieg. Aber der Führende war gut!
"Okay, volles Risiko", dachte Charly, umschloss das Lederlenkrad mit festem Griff, trat in der Kurve voll aufs Gas.

Alle Fahrer standen betroffen um das völlig ausgebrannte Autowrack. Warum war Charly so leichtsinnig gewesen? Im der realen Welt hat man nur ein Leben! Und dieses war nun ausgelöscht.

Dies war mein Beitrag zur aktuellen #dreemwotw Challenge. Ein sogenannte "Drabble" ist eine Kurzgeschte mit genau der Länge von 100 Wörtern.

gewählt um die Mini Story zu schreiben.

Vielen Dank, @samsmith1971 für die Möglichkeit die 100 Worte für den deutschen Text zu zählen, was das Schreiben viel einfacher machte. Lustigerweise haben aber beide Texte, sowohl Deutsch als auch Englisch eine Länge von 100 Wörtern, war bei Übersetzungen nicht immer so ist.
