Sometimes things just don't go the way we plan them; no matter how much effort we put into it things just go wrong and we go into a spin and then just have to learn to deal with them.
I've had one of those weeks, almost two weeks I should probably say. One moment everything is great and the next not so great and the things that went wrong for me were quite costly which never makes me happy. I'm usually prepared for unexpected costs but I like getting ahead and when something big comes up and takes me by surprise I get annoyed as it puts me back to square one.
I took this image
That's a load of my clothes going around in my washing machine, my new washing machine, because the old one blew up in a spectacular explosion that levelled every building within a one thousand yard radius.
Ok, so that's a slight embellishment; I noticed a burning smell coming from the laundry and found smoke coming out of my old washing machine which isn't supposed to happen at all. After an initial panic I had it unplugged and eventually the smoke stopped. I was at first annoyed but then remembered how long I'd had the washing machine and decided I'd actually received good value for money from it. Time to get a new one.
The brand new one, an Italian made washing machine, was delivered and installed this weekend.
I don't often get excited about doing the laundry but this machine is so quiet, amazingly efficient and has some very nice cycles that will save time for me so I'll admit to being a little excited; that is, once I had the laundry door back on the hinges because it had to be removed to get the old machine out.
I guess what goes around comes around and not just my clothes going around in my new washing machine either. Life is good and bad and it sometimes sits sometimes in the middle. What is the most important thing is to turn it to our advantage as much as possible.
