When it comes to navigation I'm an expert...an expert at doing it badly.
My guy is one of those people who needs to know the points of the compass no matter where in the world he is; it's easy done at home but when overseas he always orients himself and within minutes seems able to navigate to where ever he wants to go. It's quite comical watching him orient himself when we fly into somewhere new, he gets this very earnest expression on his face, his brow furrows as he looks about to allow his internal compass orient itself and then...off we go. I laugh every time.

I remember a few times when he was driving in new places and had asked me to navigate...it rarely went well and often went very badly. One particular time I'd taken over the navigation duties and we drove a few hundred miles out of our way...we got to where we were going in the long run, but it was a very long run. So I'm barred from navigational duties. I'm ok with that, it takes the pressure off me...besides, my guy gets the chance to show off his amazing navigational skills; he's such a man.
Strangely though, when I'm on a shopping expedition I never get lost, powerful force rises up from deep within me and I can navigate to the exact place that has the exact thing I'm looking for. It's like magic, and actually occurred on the weekend - I was on a trip to run some errands and...I arrived in the cutest little clothing shop quite by accident...I mean intention...no, by accident; Accidental intention?
I'll be honest and say I didn't buy much, just a top and skirt and those were on sale, however I know the little outfit will do what it's supposed to when my partner sees it on me and that's what counts; quality, not quantity.
We're coming into the festive time of year and I'll have my partner home for days on end which I'm looking forward to. We have a few things planned so we can make the most of the time and also will be a little spontaneous too. We're doing a small road trip to somewhere we've not been for many years too, I'll not be navigating of course, my guy will, but I'll be taking that little outfit I bought on the weekend and I know he'll navigate his way to the buttons on the blouse at some stage.
