I wish i didn't eat beans that faithful day.
We cooked porridge beans on Sunday morning and we were also expecting a special visitor, the man that was coming to seek my hand in marriage, he was not just coming alone but was coming with his kinsmen.
Normally in igbo land when a man is finds a wife he finds a good thing so he's kinsmen will love to join him to the wife's to be parents house .
During this visit they will pay close attention to their surrounding to capture all that would to see if for any reason that marriage shouldn't hold.
Hmmmm you can imagine how the inlaws to be will have to work so hard to avoid any flaw.
Lets continue.
We woke up early in the morning, we made variety of soups and carbohydrates, we bought different types of native drinks, we cleaned our environment, and looking around we have done a whole lot and were confident that the marriage feast will hold.
Something went wrong.
It was 11:am when we heard the sound of cars driving and we were sooo happy that our visitors has arrived safely.
They were welcomed into our sitting room and water was served to them, everyone was happy until some point when we just had a sound "Pooooooooooo poooo pooo" whats that? Oh no 馃槷 the smell was disgusting ,that was just my father who farted, we were just trying to see how to cover up, look another sound came from the other side of the room "pooooo, poooo, poooo" that was my mother who just farted, and i wanted to shout and the next thing i heard was pooooooooo, poooooo poooo, ohhhhhhh noooo i just farted, the room became uncomfortable 馃槪 and the smell was disgusting, our in-laws to be sat up and left and the was the end of the marriage.
Lessons learned
