Ya'll I don't even know where to start I'm so happy right now.

Here's the thing.

Sure I'm sure I'm preggo and sure I had an ultrasound really early on at 6/7 weeks due to stomach issues (which I later found was due to stress) and I saw bub then and saw it's little heart beating.

But that was 13 weeks ago and even though I no longer have stomach problems (reducing stress and exposure to f.ckd up people can have that side effect), I still can't help but be worried.

Why can't I feel it moving?
What if it's wrapped itself in its cord?
What if it's got bits missing?
What ifs??!!!!

This ultrasound has been a long time coming.

Originally we were meant to have it two weeks ago but I couldn't get an appointment with the people at Nepean Hospital that our doctor recommended and was told when I rang that I can use my referral at any ultrasound place so I booked it at the one in Katoomba.

On the day we were due to have the scan I forgot my referral letter and figured it'll be easy to just get our doctor to email it to this new place.

Nope. He flat out refused to send us there saying he can't guarantee his service and they didn't have the correct machines etc. so we cancelled.

Out of all the times to be disorganized!!

Seriously. This is just an example of how my life rolls. Things just work out.

Anyhooooo. I rang Nepean again and booked us in for an appointment and 2 weeks later here we are!

The Scan!

The thing I hate about these scans are the amount of water I need to drink and hold.

I'm glued to my loo as it is. Nepean is about 40 minutes drive away, plus the wait and hold time. It's killer!! My budgie bladder just cannot!

But I was surprised at how excitement can distract me from my bowel's needs, cos seeing bub was EVERYTHING.

It was like..
Yeh, yeh I'm busting but I want to continue the bits count and see everything.

First up was bub's spine..

Everything good here! Several measurements and pictures were taken. From this pic your can see bub was facing down and curled up.

Feet and hands. Tick and tick!

Gender reveal time!!!

Adobe_Post_20190614_133125.png

There was a time I wanted a boy, but as time progressed I really relished the idea of having a girl and Hubby has always wanted a little girl so you can imagine how happy we both are 馃コ

We actually discussed names weeks ago and decided on a girl name, but funnily enough we were undecided on a boy name ~ it just wasn't flowing ~ so I wasn't surprised to find out it was a girl. I think the shocker would have been if we were told it was going to be a boy 馃榿

I'm now officially halfway through my pregnancy.

20 weeks down, 20 weeks to go!
