Hello Fellow Foodies,

I hope everyone is having a great 🤠 week.

Last week I shared some pictures of a 💯 yen mochi stall I ran into by chance in a usually free space near our local supermarket. This week that same space was occupied by another stall selling Japanese traditional sweets called dango
だんご.

Dango だんご🍡
Dango is a Japanese dumpling made from rice flour. There are many kinds of dango. Popular types include but are not limited to Mitarashi (Soy), Kibi, Goma(sesame seeds), Sweet Potato, Hanami🍡 and Kinako.

The Japanese attendant at this stall said that there were 9 nine kinds of dango on display. Some dumplings were plain, a few varieties had the sweet flavor of Anko-red bean paste, while others were dipped in a soy based syrup.

Evaluation
My family and I enjoyed the taste of the Yomogi dango and Mitarashi dango. I suspect to that we will be having more of the Hanami dango🍡 variety this Spring.

Stay connected, stay blessed.
