Blogging daily is sometimes a challenge. Some authors wait to post once or twice and put in hours upon hours. If you are a tutor, or teacher, or general laborer you will probably see more come out of your labor than writing a post. What keeps us here; blogging is as different as personality.

A friend of mine on steemit said he was taking a break from the platform because of a lot of the hatred he was seeing..
At times I felt the same way. The hatred didn’t necessarily have to do with hatred of gender, race, or religion either. Some of the more seasoned Steemians have been around for flag wars, bot wars, and all around political greed.

I have noticed my upvotes have increased recently because I started focusing on what matters to me. Perhaps tribes have compartmentalized and focused my thoughts. There has also been a focused amount of attention with the proper tag police. Now I really have to figure out what each post will be about! Finance, Sports, Creatvitiy, Science etc..

When our minds are in the muck, or we are just feeling down; I find we go looking into the same dark hole that we ourselves are in. In other words, we attract what we perceive and feel (and vice versa). Even with those attractions we can write about them.

The above diagram is kinda what life is like (the whole ying-yang), but in tribes or communities you can find acceptance much easier. In life we need to grow a thick skin. Sometimes we cannot avoid bad situations, and bad people. On the STEEM chain we don’t necessarily have to go down that path. Not only can we mute certain users (dontcha wish you had the remote with certain people), but we can also un-follow those that are not really helping us with out steemit careers.

It’s a good feeling when you go right to your “home” page and see only the communities you enjoy supporting and reading about. Manually curating becomes easier and more rewarding (50%), and the stories no longer become monotonous. The journey is less enigmatic and more of our personal story. Spammers are are much easier to deal with as well.

I don’t think I am at the point where steemit is my go-to-place for any type of therapy, but it defiantly has certain advantages when you share something with “strangers” who slowly become acquaintances. Perhaps even one day Noexian-fest or SteemLeo fest etc.. might come down the pike. We no longer need to convince Steemians of our worth, as a tribe will always accept you. Just make sure the tags are done responsibly.
