It's funny if you think about, in my country the electricity suppliers had to monitor higher than expected electricity usage just to find out where weed has been farmed ('criminals' were trying ofc to mask that with some high electricity business, but you can't keep on doing that forever - not every weed producer is perfect at making money at laundry washing business XD). Now imagine in more liberal countries weed will be coverage for bitcoin mining"
