Intro
I needed to rent this card. And look into a battle how en when to use it. I do not play life often. But i see that there are some strong play's with the life splinter.

Strategy
Medium mana, close range, so nice opportunity to run an range deck with a sneak to be able to use the feral spirit. Especially to use Pelacor Arbalest for the double range damage in combination with general sloan

Shieldbearer :
Nice tank that must be killed first and in combination with healer it should withstand some beating. only magic can hit it hard and kill it quickly
Feral Spirit :
Even it does not have a lot of power it sneaky does some damage at the back hopefully fill some small unit in the back
Venari Crystalsmith
Important card that need to heal as much as possible
Pelacor Arbalest :
Main damage dealer with 3 damage x2 so every turn 6 damage (nice).
Herbalist :
A risk to put it in the back with low health but first the tank in the front need to be killed so a but of an gamble

Start:
was not hoping on magic because the shield does not have a lot of effect. but with the unicorn de shield is still beneficial. Nice the the Mycelic Slipspawn is not in the front place becaus it would have been healed a lot.
Round 1:
Because Mycelic Slipspawn was not in the first spot it was killed and not healed in the first round so 3 damage less for my opponent in the next round
Round 2:
Now all damage can be focused on the unicorn and kill it in one turn (thx to the double damage 6)
So battle is over only a healer left with 1 health :)
Round 3:
Win
Conclusion
Range damage in combination with General Sloan is nice. I see i don't play this setup often. so i will be honest that i needed a few tries to find a strategy.
Nice to study more the life deck to play and to couter.
This one the things I like about the weekly challenges it "forces" me to play different setup then that I usually do, so I learn more of the game and i get more
