Splinterlands Statistics Update: Configure Your Multi Account Dashboard
Welcome back everyone!
Today I have another update for the Splinterlands Statistics site.
This one started with a small but very useful request from @keeegs.
The Multi Account Dashboard can now be configured, so you decide what information you actually want to see.
And there is a nice bonus. If you disable information you do not need, it also helps me by reducing the number of server calls I have to make towards Splinterlands. 😄
So less clutter for you and fewer unnecessary calls for me. Sounds like a win to me!
@warrentrx you might like this feature as well i think.

Configure Your Multi Account Dashboard
The Multi Account Dashboard contains quite a lot of information. But realistically, how often do you need to see everything?
In my own case, for example, I normally do not care about checking my collection value every single day. Most of the time I am much more interested in things like my energy and brawl information.
Of course, everybody uses the dashboard differently.
Some people might be interested in balances. Others mainly want gameplay information, rankings, or account details.
So instead of me deciding what is important, you can now decide for yourself.
There is a new settings menu where you can enable or disable the different sections of the Multi Account Dashboard.
Your preferences are automatically saved, so when you come back later the dashboard will load the information you selected.
Less Loading, Fewer Server Calls
This is not just a visual setting.
When you disable a section, the dashboard will not load that information at all.
That means fewer unnecessary data requests, especially when you have a lot of accounts on your dashboard.
So if you only care about a few pieces of information, you can keep the dashboard focused on those and at the same time reduce the number of calls my server needs to make towards Splinterlands.
For existing users nothing suddenly disappears either. By default, all sections remain enabled, which keeps the same behaviour you had before.
You can then disable whatever you do not need.
But What If I Need Everything Once?
Sometimes you normally only want a few sections enabled, but for one particular account you suddenly want to see everything.
For that I added a Load All option to the individual PlayerCards.
This temporarily loads all available information for that player without changing your saved dashboard settings.
So there is no need to enable everything, check the account, and then disable everything again.
Some Filter UI Improvements
I also made some improvements to the filter interface.
On desktop, the filter drawer is now a docked panel on the right side instead of appearing as an overlay on top of the page.
When you open it, the page automatically makes room for the panel instead of having part of the content disappear underneath it.
Mobile still uses the temporary overlay version since that works much better on a smaller screen.
Charts will also automatically resize when you open or close the filter panel.
See When Filters Are Active
Another small improvement is an active filter counter on the filter button.
When the filter panel is closed, you can now still see that filters are active and how many filter sections are affecting the results.
Hopefully this prevents those moments where you look at the data and wonder:
"Where did everything go?" 😂
Light Theme Filter Icons
And finally, one small visual fix.
Some of the edition icons use near white artwork with a transparent background.
That works perfectly fine in dark mode.
In light mode... not so much. 😅
Those icons now get a grey background when using the light theme, making them properly visible again.
Closing Notes
Thanks again to @keeegs for the Multi Account Dashboard request.
It is one of those relatively small ideas that makes a lot of sense once you start using it.
You get a cleaner dashboard focused on the information you actually care about, while at the same time it reduces unnecessary server calls.
Definitely a good one! 😄
As always, if you find a bug or have another useful idea, let me know!
