Welcome back all! ๐Ÿ‘‹

Another update for the Splinterlands Land Manager!

This time the main focus has been on making bulk actions faster, more reliable, and easier to follow.

I also made a short YouTube video about these changes, so if you prefer watching instead of reading, check it out!

Faster Bulk Actions โšก

The biggest change in v1.44.0 is how bulk transactions are handled.

Previously, bulk actions relied on fixed delays or waited for Splinterlands to catch up after every batch. This could make larger operations take quite some time.

Now, as soon as a transaction is included in a Hive block, the next batch can be submitted!

This should make larger operations significantly faster, especially when Splinterlands is running behind the Hive blockchain.

Better Progress and Error Handling ๐Ÿ“Š

Another improvement is that you can now actually follow what is happening during bulk operations.

Some of the changes:

  • โšก Live progress tracking so you can follow longer operations.
  • โฑ๏ธ Smarter runtime estimates based on how far Splinterlands is behind Hive.
  • ๐Ÿ› ๏ธ Better error handling so one failed batch no longer stops everything.
  • ๐Ÿ“‹ Detailed results showing which operations succeeded, failed, or might still be pending.
  • ๐Ÿ”„ More reliable transactions when multiple players are renting or buying workers at the same time.

I also fixed several issues, including transactions getting stuck waiting forever and the annoying Hive error about submitting multiple custom JSON operations in the same block.

Hopefully, this makes the whole experience a lot smoother!

Some Smaller Improvements

Alongside the bulk action changes, there were a few smaller updates in v1.44.1 and v1.45.0.

Authority statuses now refresh correctly after granting or revoking permissions, and the admin dashboard has improved donation tracking.

Nothing too exciting compared to the bulk action improvements, but useful fixes nonetheless!

Splinterlands MCP

I also want to mention the Splinterlands MCP project by flauwy@flauwy.

If you're interested in building tools around Splinterlands or experimenting with AI integrations, definitely worth checking out!

That's It for Now!

A lot of the work this time happened behind the scenes, but these are important improvements to make the Land Manager more reliable, especially for larger land operations.

As always, feedback is welcome! If you run into any issues or have ideas for improvements, let me know.
