Everything went as well as expected.
I traveled to Seattle through Minneapolis.
My client requested that I train several of their general construction contractors on the installation and assembly of the commercial furnishings we have custom fabricated for them. The furnishings are simple in appearance but complex internally to route power and data cabling necessary for their function of merchandise display and sales.
There was a delay with the delivery of the goods because of a trucking maintenance and transfer. We received them about 2-1/2 hours late. With seven senior contractors on hand, the truck was unloaded and back on the road in less than 30 minutes.
I directed them with only guidance, as they had visited other sites that were already complete, so the few questions that they had were mainly assembly and fit & finish. We were initially several hours behind schedule but everybody hustled and we were complete only a half hour late. The store manager and employees then arrived to set merchandise.
It was rush hour and almost dinner time and I didn't want to waste my time in traffic. I located a pub nearby with the smartphone and headed that way.
